The adoption of the RA Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Water Code" aims to preserve the national water reserve by creating appropriate mechanisms for water resources management, meeting the needs of citizens and the economy in the necessary quantity and quality of water through effective management of used water resources, preventing the deterioration of the status of surface and underground water bodies, improving and restoring the status of heavily modified water bodies. facilities, ensuring environmental sustainability of the environment, as well as providing the legal basis for solving the tasks of this Code.

As a result of the adoption of the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Code of Administrative Offences ", it is expected that an increase in the amount of punishment will ensure economical use of water resources and lead to full compliance with the requirements of a water use permit:
As a result of the adoption of the draft law " On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia", a fair demand for payment by hydroelectric power plants for water use will be ensured, state budget revenues will increase, proper accounting of used surface water reserves and effective management of water resources will be carried out.
With the adoption of the draft law "On Amendments to the Law " On Notification of Activities ", the process of issuing water use permits will be regulated, the legality of documents submitted for the purpose of obtaining water use permits will be ensured, and the legal requirement for payments provided at the state level for settlements will be ensured.
The adoption of the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law "On State Duty" will ease the administrative burden of a water user when obtaining a water use permit, and for the acquisition of the right to carry out water use and drainage activities required for issuing water use permits, as well as for calculating the norms of permissible border outflow, a state duty will be established, ensuring the principle of the legality of the implementation of these activities and the increase in state budget revenues.
