On the occasion of the International Museum Day, Environment Minister Hakob Simidyan paid a working visit to the State Museum of Nature of Armenia

Today, on the occasion of the International Museum Day, Environment Minister Hakob Simidyan paid a working visit to the State Museum of Nature of Armenia, operating under the Ministry of Environment.
During the visit, the Minister was accompanied by the head of the Department of Specially Protected Natural Territories and Biodiversity Policy Voskeat Grigoryan and the Minister's adviser Paruyr Simonyan.
The Minister toured the exhibition halls of the museum and got acquainted with the exhibits of the landscape diversity of the territory of Armenia, unique (endemic) representatives of flora and fauna.
The State Museum of Nature of Armenia is the only comprehensive museum operating in our region. rare species of flora and fauna are exhibited in four halls. The collection reflects the peculiarities of the nature of our country and the richness of the subsoil.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum has several exhibitions, periodically organizes events, the main purpose of which is to form an ecological worldview and actively participate in solving environmental problems.
After the tour, the minister held a meeting with museum staff.
Minister Hakob Simidyan congratulated his colleagues on their professional holiday and expressed satisfaction with the high-quality work and dedication with which they continue to acquaint hundreds of citizens with the peculiarities of nature and the richness of the bowels of our country every day.
During the discussion, the existing problems were touched upon, the Minister discussed with colleagues the existing possibilities of modernization and development of the museum, issues of improving the conditions of the building.
