In the last two days, Armenia has been in the zone of influence of a fairly active cyclone, precipitation is observed throughout the Republic, in mountainous areas - in the form of snow, in the foothills and valleys -in the form of rain.
In some regions of the Republic, in particular, in Amasia, Fantan, Aparan, Amberd, at the foot of Mount Aragats, 40-60% of the monthly norm was observed on the spot for two days.
The height of the snow cover today reaches 129 cm, in Amberd and Jermuk-56 cm, in Amasia and Hrazdan-35 cm.
Especially intense precipitation, thunderstorms are also expected in some places today at night, this afternoon winds are expected to increase to 15-20 m/s.
After noon on March 4, precipitation will gradually stop.
Due to the penetration of cold Arctic air currents on March 4 and 5, the air temperature will gradually decrease by 6-8 degrees.
