It is a golden bee-eater in the photo published by the platform, since in Armenia a rare green species of bee-eaters is met, which is also included in the Red Book of Animals of the Republic of Armenia. According to the Red Book, it is mentioned as the main endangered factor of green bee-eaters, because it is very similar to the golden bee-eater, destroyed in large numbers by beekeepers.
 The relevant subdivisions of the Ministry of Environment have sent a letter to the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources to study the case in details and reveal the circumstances.
Any encroachment on wildlife is unacceptable. The Ministry of Environment condemns such attitude.
Note, that the RA law on “Hunting and hunting resources” stipulates that this type of hunting is prohibited in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The law particularly says: "It is prohibited to supervise hunting in the territory of the Republic of Armenia... 14) using bows, hooks, nets, circle hooks, traps, hunting holes and using larger than N5 traps."
