“Dilijan” national park SNCO has a new acting director

Acting Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan was on a working visit to “Dilijan” national park SNCO. The Acting Minister introduced new Acting Director of the National Park Ara Khloyan to the staff of the SNCO and held an extended consultation with the staff on current labor issues.
The Acting Minister thanked former director of the National Park Adam Poghosyan for the joint work.

"Mr. Khloyan has a task to increase the quality of supervision and protection in the districts, to reveal all the roads and criminal connections through which timber is transferred  from the forests. The thief robbing from the state in the post-war recovery period is our personal enemy," the Acting Minister said.
The urgent issues are:
Establishment of strict control over the maintenance of illegal constructions, the appearance of temporary pavilions placed on the roadside areas, environmental, urban planning and land-planning norms in the specially protected areas of nature of “Dilijan” national park SNCO,
Regulation of the areas adjacent to Lake Parz Natural Monument and review of lease agreements,
Illegal constructions on the adjacent sections of Yerevan-Tbilisi interstate highway, the appearance of temporary pavilions, strict maintenance of environmental, urban and land norms. There will be dismantling: the strictest administration will be applied.
Acting Minister Petrosyan referred to the essential to change the timber procurement mechanisms, afterwards answered the questions of the heads of the guard units. The field will be streamlined by legislative norms.
Wishing success to the newly appointed acting director in the forthcoming work and taking into consideration Mr. Khloyan's work experience in the national park management, the Acting Minister expressed hope that it would best serve to increase the efficiency of Dilijan National Park.
