At the invitation of the Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, the delegation led by the President of the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Alain-Richard Donwahi arrived in Armenia.
Within the framework of the visit, a conference titled "United for the land, our heritage is our future" was organized on May 14, after which the delegation visited the nursery of the "Hrazdan Forestry" branch, where they got acquainted with the work being carried out, tree species, discussed the production capabilities of the SNCO, opportunities for increasing forest areas in Armenia and opportunities for cooperation within the framework of afforestation programs.
After the tour of the nursery, COP15 President Alain-Richard Donwahi and Deputy Minister Aram Meimaryan planted trees.
