As a result of the monitoring work carried out jointly with the State Nature Reserve "Khosrov Forest" and the Armenian branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature, the reserve photo cards again captured the Caucasian leopard.
The leopard is one of the most impressive animal species in The Animal world of Armenia and one of the most endangered in the Caucasian ecotermal region.
Currently, the Caucasian leopard is included in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia and the Red List of The International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Leopard can be found in the following places.
Broad-leaved forests and forests,
In the mountain steppes,
On Alpine meadows.
