Criteria for public beaches were discussed, instructions were given to improve them

On March 4, a meeting on the project of public beaches and Sevan-Lchashen Alley was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Hambartsum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, Deputy Minister Aram Meimaryan and heads and representatives of interested state bodies.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the government has created eight public beaches by its decisions, but currently only three of them are furnished and put into operation.
The maintenance of these three beaches was delegated by a private company that carried out landscaping and improvement works. It is also planned to build an alley, a new parking lot, install new pavilions and fences, as well as properly organize garbage collection.
Stating that there is an interest in public beaches in society, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the competent authorities to take an inventory of discontent, fix the problems raised by citizens in a short time, and also take steps to make the public beach really accessible to everyone.
In order to increase the accessibility of public beaches, the issue of commissioning the remaining five beaches, as well as the creation of 4 more new public beaches in the communities of Lchap, Shorzha, Noratus and Martuni, the possibility of improving the criteria for all public beaches, as well as the zoning project of the Lchashen-Sevan Peninsula section of the Sevan National Park, problems associated with its implementation and solutions were presented during the meeting.
