Today is International Environment Day.
"Only one planet Earth." This is the motto of the International Environment Day 2022. It was announced 50 years ago in Stockholm, when the UN Environment Program was adopted.
The destruction of ecosystems, the loss of biodiversity, soil and air pollution, climate change not only harm the nature around us, but also threaten our well-being.
The burden of environmental disasters is disproportionately distributed, with poor and developing countries suffering the most from this catastrophe.
Armenia is not indifferent to the environmental problems on which the public's attention should be focused, to the solution of which all our efforts should be combined.
Thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Environment, the legislative field related to the environment has been incomparably reformed today.
Under the auspices of the Government, effective cooperation with international partners is aimed at effective bioresource management, forest protection, biodiversity and ecosystem restoration, increasing water resource management efficiency, rethinking nature and fostering responsible behavior among our compatriots.
We will do everything possible to make Armenia one of the developing countries in the field of environment.
Congratulations to the staff of the ministry, my dear colleagues, each of us.
