A comprehensive discussion was held headed by Deputy Minister of Environment Tigran Gabrielyan

Headed by Deputy Minister of Environment Tigran Gabrielyan, the Masis administration held a comprehensive discussion of the problems of water resources management in the Ararat Valley and their solutions.
The discussion was attended by Head of the Department of Basin Planning Management of the Ministry Ori Avetisyan, Director of the “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO Levon Azizyan, Head of the Groundwater Monitoring Service Harutyun Yeremyan, Head of the Department of Territorial Management of the Hrazdan Water Basin Andranik Arakelyan, Deputy Governor of the Ararat region Vladimir Khachatryan, Acting head of the Masis community Norayr Hakobyan, heads of departments of the apparatus the municipality, the administrative heads of the localities of the community.
Welcoming the participants, the Deputy Minister first of all thanked those present for realizing the importance of the problem under discussion and their willingness to find joint solutions. The Deputy Minister noted that water resources management in the territory is incomparably vulnerable both in terms of protection of underground water resources and in terms of their effective use and regulation of deep wells.
In his speech, Tigran Gabrielyan touched upon the activities carried out by the Ministry in the direction of effective water resources management, periodic observations and steps aimed at improving the legislative field.
The Head of the Basin Planning Management Department, Ori Avetisyan, presented statistics on deep wells in 12 settlements of the Masis community among the recorded problems. In these localities, 336 deep fathers were studied, 15 of which are subject to liquidation or conservation in accordance with the procedure established by law.
As a result of an active and constructive discussion, all interested parties raised the priorities of steps for the management of underground water resources in the presented settlements.
At the end of the discussion, the Deputy Minister expressed hope that the effectiveness of discussions in such a format is inevitable in the interests of meeting the vital needs of present and future generations.
