CNF donated special equipment to the Lake Arpi and Dilijan National Park of the Ministry of Environment

A ceremony of awarding special equipment to two SNCOs operating within the Ministry was held in the Ministry of Environment, with the participation of Deputy Minister Anna Mazmanyan, Director of the Lake Arpi National Park Mushegh Muradyan, Acting Director of the Dilijan National Park, Head of the Haghartsin branch Armen Ghazaryan and Director of the Armenian Representation of the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) Arman Vermishyan. The Caucasus Nature Fund donated special equipment to the Lake Arpi National Park and Dilijan National Park with a flying drone and a tablet that will help improve forest conservation services and improve the efficiency of forest management.
The Deputy Minister thanked his colleagues for their constant effective assistance in the grateful cause of environmental protection.
"From the point of view of the effectiveness of forest management, the introduction of modern technologies is extremely important. These drones will prevent and neutralize the anthropogenic impact on forests and specially protected natural areas: illegal logging, fires, etc.," said the Deputy Minister Anna Mazmanyan.
The Ministry of Environment has a long and successful experience of cooperation with the Caucasus Nature Fund. CNF has been working in Armenia since 2009, providing assistance to specially protected areas of Armenia.
It should also be recalled that the Caucasus Nature Fund, the Ministry of Environment of RA and 4 SNCOs that are part of the RA MoE signed three-year agreements, according to which it is planned to allocate 1 million 920 thousand euros to these SNCOs for 2021-2023.
