By January 1, 2024, all water users, regardless of the purpose of water use, must install water meters with online data transmission:
The Government has approved a draft Government decree "On establishing the procedure for the installation, sealing and operation of water meters (water meters) with online data transmission to account for used surface water reserves and extracted reserves of underground fresh and thermal waters", developed by the Ministry of Environment.
The adoption of this draft government decree regulates the process of installation, sealing and operation of water meters (water meters) with online data transmission.
The approval of this Procedure will regulate the general requirements for the operation of water meters (water meters) with online data transmission, including the installation conditions, the process of sealing them by the water resources management and protection authority and the conditions for data transmission to a single online platform for the transmission of actual water intake data using devices.
Water meters (water meters) with installed and sealed online data transmission before the entry into force of this decision may be operated without replacement and re-sealing, and water meters (water meters) that do not provide online data transmission are subject to replacement and re-sealing.
This decision comes into force on January 1, 2024.
