What is a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO)?
The Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) is an organization established by the producers or importers of the Extended Producer Responsibility system (EPR), the purpose of which is to coordinate the collection and environmentally safe use of special waste generated from the consumption of EPR products.
These definitions are preliminary versions developed on the basis of international experience.
The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation is being developed with the support of Acopian Center for the Environment of the American University of Armenia (AUA) within the scope of the "Waste Policy Armenia" four-year program funded by Sweden.
