On July 7, a working meeting was held with Astghik Danielyan, Project Coordinator of  UNDP Environmental Protection of Lake Sevan (EU4Sevan) Project at “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” of the MoE.
The project is implemented by German Corporation for International Cooperation ( GmbH)  and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The meeting was attended by Acting Director of “HMC” Levon Azizyan, Deputy Directors Gayane Shahnazaryan, Gagik Surenyan, Advisor to the Director Valentina Grigoryan, Head of Hydrology Service Edgar Misakyan, Head of Division of Scientific and Technical Cooperation for Capacity Development  Nune Stepanyan and the chief specialist of the same division.
Astghik Danielyan presented 4 directions of the goal and activity of project’s UNDP component:
  updated political regulator and institutional field,
  The administration of Lake Sevan ecosystem management and sustainable use of natural resources, 
  Environment conducive to long-term development planning, that is - fostering grounds for long-term plans, developing a roadmap.
  Technical assistance for cleaning flooded areas and planning reforestation activities.
The meeting took a note of the distribution of meteorological stations in the basin of Lake Sevan.
Levon Azizyan, Acting Director of “HMC” SNCO, attached importance to the effective cooperation with reference to the environmental issues of Lake Sevan and expressed readiness to support the further activities and events of the project.
