The Minister of Nature Protection discussed prospects for cooperation with the Ambassador of China


Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan received  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Tian Erlong.
The sides pointed out the great potential for cooperation between two states in the sphere of environmental protection and discussed the practical steps focused on the full-fledged utilization of thereof.
The Minister highly valued the Chinese experience of afforestation in degraded lands, thus made a point of a pilot project fulfillment of similar activities in Armenia.
Ambassador Tian Erlong attributed importance to the start-up of cooperation in environmental protection sector and expressed hope that it will be continued on the margins of Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to be held in Beijing in April, to which Minister Grigoryan is invited.
Also, the parties took the opportunity to discuss issues as to furtherance of the use of electric vehicles, improvement of the environmental monitoring system, the implementation of training courses.
