The Adaptation Fund has allocated over US $ 1.4 million grants to Armenia


The Adaptation Fund Board approved “Artik city closed stone pit waste and flood management” pilot project, developed by “Environmental Project Implementation Unit” State Institution of the Ministry of Nature Protection.
The Adaptation Fund will provide US $ 1,435,100 to Armenia for the project fulfillment. The goal of the project is to enhance the resistance of Artik city to the hydrometeorological hazards, the frequency and intensity of which are one the rise in the conditions of climate change.
The approval of the project mentioned by the Adaptation Fund Board is remarkable in respect that it is the second project financed in the Eastern Europe and the first one in the region.
