It is envisaged to implement the Green Climate Fund project in Armenia


Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Ayser Ghazaryan took part in the workshop over the project fulfillment of the Green Climate Fund, organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Nature Protection.
An FAO design mission is currently in Armenia to fine-tune “Forest resilience of Armenia, enhancing adaptation and rural growth via mitigation” project proposal and to prepare the necessary steps for official submission to the Green Climate Fund.
The project will be executed by the Ministry of Nature Protection and will have an indicative duration of 8 years. The project envisages tree planting within 5700 ha and will involve a large spectrum of national and international partners, including relevant Ministries, civil society as well as international donors.
