Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia Tian Erlong. The top management of the ministry and embassy’s staff also were engaged in the meeting.
The sides stressed the essential of giving new dynamics and quality to the collaboration between two states, remarkably in the field of enviornmental protection.
Minister Erik Grigoryan signified the necessity of assuming practical steps to introduce China's successful experience in forest management and online air pollution monitoring.
Notably, the Minister stated that Armenia is interested in China’s experience in the establishment of forests in degraded soils, and the Ministry of Nature Protection has already applied to the latter with a proposal to accomplish an afforestation project in the corresponding areas of the country.
The meeting took a note of the perspectives of fulfilling concrete training courses for vocational capacity building of employees working in the environmental protection sector.
