The State Museum of Nature of Armenia has joined "Museum Night" pan-European events and illustrated the list of unique events. The theme selected by International Council of Museums (ICOM) is “Hyperconnected museums: new approaches, new publics” for the International Museum Day 2018.
On May 18-19 there will be presented the exhibition entitled “Point in Time” and “Breath of Time” in the State Museum of Nature of Armenia within the scopes of “International Museum Day” and “Museum Night”. Gohar Samsonyan, Head of the Public Relations Division of the Museum highly appreciated the importance of similar events directed to sowing seeds of care towards nature in her opening remarks during the today’s event. Additionally, Member of Artists’ Union of Armenia Vladimir Grigoryan delivered a speech, extending a vote of thanks to the Museum for cooperation and assistance.
The two-day events will refer to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia and May heroic battles . In the course of the event, Yerevan N 99 school pupils made speeches.
At the end of the event Museum Director Gayane Ghazaryan thanked Yerevan N 99 schoolchildren, remarkably A. Madoyan, as well as Members of the Artists' Union of Armenia Vladimir Grigoryan and Flora Baghdasaryan.
This year’s Museum Night would be the fifth time the event in Armenia.
The International Museum Day has been celebrated since 1977, bringing together more than 30,000 museums from various countries across the world.
