RA Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan had a meeting with Johannes Dopffel, Referee Officer on the affairs of the Republic of Armenia at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Bernhard Matthias Kiesler. Deputy Ambassador of German Federal Republic to Armenia Klaus Wendelberger, Project Coordinator of the the German Physico-Technical Institution Yanen Fischer as well as the representatives of organizations financing and implementing environmental projects within the framework of Armenian-German financial and technical cooperation.
Addressing the guests, RA Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan extended a vote of thanks for the cooperation and assistance provided by the German government and set a great store on the mutual willingness to transfer it to a higher level. Minister Grigoryan stressed that Armenia is regarded as one of the unique regions globally having rich biodiversity, thus complex measures are assumed to preserve it. The Minister of Nature Protection briefed the attendees about ongoing and envisaged projects in the forest sector, emphasizing that it is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Nature Protection with the expectation that the amount of support provided by the German government to the sphere will expand.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia Bernhard Matthias Kiesler expressed gratitude for the meeting, offered his congratulations on Erik Griogoryan’s appointment Minister of Nature Protection and expressed readiness of the German government to facilitate greater support to environmental protection sector.
In turn, Johannes Dopffel, the Officer of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) congratulated the newly appointed Minister, reaffirming his government's commitment to the measures directed to biodiversity, remarkably the forest conservation sector conducted by Ministry of Nature Protection of RA.

Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body was defined as a subordinate body to the Government by the RA law on “State administration system bodies” adopted on March 23, 2018, thus citizens may send their calls and applications to the Head of the Inspection Body (Address: 46 Charenc, Yerevan, tel. 011-81-85-92).
