On July 3 the RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan met with Head of OSCE Office in Yerevan Argo Avakov, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Armenia Dmitry Mariyasin and Armen Martirosyan, Environmental Governance Portfolio Coordinator at UNDP.
The meeting focused on referring to the main directions for the cooperation alongside OSCE. Minister Artsvik Minasyan put a high value on projects underway in nature protection along with OSCE, noted that despite the closure of OSCE office in Yerevan, they will accomplish the projects with efficiency and uniformity. Minister Artsvik Minasyan stressed the neccissity of institutionalization of programs and developing the actions into the roadmap, which will bring about tangible outputs.
Argo Avakov extended a vote of thanks for the meeting, submitted prospects for colloboration after envisaged changes, attributed importance to the role of the UNDP. In turn, Dmitry Mariyasin touched upon well partnership doing with the RA Ministry of Nature Protection, assured, that there are possibilities for broadening the partnership up to the mark. The essential of ministry capacity building, technical upgrades and a number of other issues were reflected upon at the meeting; the aformentioned issues will be closely discussed in the course of workshops. Afterwards, the parties once again re-established the will directed to boost the cooperation and united labour.
