“Climate Change Impacts on Children” project progress was considered in the RA Ministry of Nature Protection

Legal Advisor to the Minister of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia Areg Gharabegyan had a meeting with Nicholas Molleno, Expert of United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Programme Officer at UNICEF in Armenia Tigran Tovmasyan. The meeting was attended by responsible persons of relevant subdivisions of the RA MNP.  
A.    Gharabegyan addressed the guests, attaching importance to the implementation of “Climate Change Impacts on Children” project of United Nations Children’s Fund in Armenia.
 Representative of UNICEF Regional Office in New York N. Molleno submitted ongoing researches and analysis with the objective to enhance efficiency of project activities conducted along with different countries.
The goal of “Climate Change Impacts on Children” project is to include environmental factors and eco-educational measures in all projects of United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).    

The expert suggested to develop practical ways in addressing children’s health, social problems and building on eco-educational policy. He also noted that environmental improvement of each country is conditioned by children’s awareness and perception on environmental issues.
