3.2 million euros addressed to environmental bottlenecks in Syunik region
Under “Support Program for Protected Areas-Armenia” (SPPA-A) project, the Ministry of Environment will direct 3.2 million euros to solve the environmental bottlenecks of Syunik region for 2021-22 - to mitigate the pressure on forests, and to improve the socio-economic situation of the communities.

64 illegal fishing nets were withdrawn from Lake Sevan after commercial fishing season
Conditioned by the period of whitefish natural reproduction, the commercial fishing season at Lake Sevan ended on December 1, 2020. The entry of any swimming means into Lake Sevan was banned, and intensified control has been established throughout Armenia.
