Amateur fishing were prohibited within the water territories of Lake Arpi, Shirak Region
RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan signed an instruction prohibiting amateur hunting and signing of contracts about fishing within the water territories of Lake Arpi, Shirak Region until January 31, 2018.

Armenia ratified the Minamata Convention on Mercury
The Minamata Convention on Mercury signed on October 10, 2013, was ratified by the RA law (19.10.2017 HO-130-N).
On December 13, the documents related to the Minamata Convention was deposited with the UN Secretary-General acting as the Depositary. The Republic of Armenia is the 85th state that has ratified the Minamata Convention. The Convention will enter into force for the Republic of Armenia since March 13, 2018.

Government focuses on efficient use of underground water resources in Ararat Valley
