By the instruction of Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan, Deputy Minister Khachik Hakobyan received citizens registered in January, 2018. The four citizens were engaged in the reception.

On January 26, on the initiative of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment parliamentary hearings were held over ''Genetically modified organisms; alternatives or compulsion?'', in attendance were  the RA NA deputies,  government staff officers and representatives of non-governmental and international organizations, scientists , sectorial executives.

The poacher escaped

On January 24, at 9:30, Inspector of “Zangezur” state sanctuary of “Zangezur” Biosphere Complex SNCO of the RA MNP A. Stepanyan notified the directorate that gunshots were heard in the vicinity of Ajabaj settelment. On the assignment of the Director, six workers left for that area.

Well-established conservation works are accomplished in the area of ''Dilijan'' national park

On January 13, at approximately 17:30, a wildfire broke out in 36 square meters of the 10th forest zone of ''Shamakhyan district'' branch of  “Dilijan” national park SNCO, nearby the forepart of  Vanadzor-Dilijan highway. Forestry workers  of ''Shamakhyan district'' branch and a fire-fighting  detachment of Tavush Regional Rescue Service of RA MES participated in the fire extinguishing operations.
