The Minister of Nature Protection took part in the 5th Green Industry Conference held in Thailand
Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan had a participation in the 5th Green Industry Conference organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in the Kingdom of Thailand.

On October 18, there took place the signing ceremony of the two agreements in the Ministry of Nature Protection. There took place the training and capacity building workshop focused on backing the management of industrial chemicals utilization (import, use, storage, transport and disposal) in Tsaghkhadzor, organized by the Secretariat for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal, and the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade.

The Ministry of Nature Protection in collaboration with UNDP’s program on Climate Change organized an eco-training and a cognitive visit to “Dilijan” national park for the pupils of schools involved in “Young Naturalist” club set up under the aegis of the Ministry.

The Water Resources Management Agency of the Ministry of Nature Protection supervised researches on the actual state of water resources and the implementation of the WP norms within the period of August 1 until September 30, 2018.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Nature Protection, it was prohibited the import of fishing nets with smaller mesh size than 50 mm into Armenia.
The procedures of goods import were simplified due to changes
At the proposal of the Ministry of Nature Protection, the RA State Revenue Committee simplified the procedures of importing of goods containing ozone depleting substances (ODS). From now on, customs officers will detect the presence of ozone depleting substances at customs checkpoints and will not guide the importers to the Ministry of Nature Protection for the relevant reference.
