"National Adaptation Plan (NAP) to advance medium and long-term adaptation planning in Armenia" project has been launched, which is implemented with financing of USD 2.7 million grant from the Green Climate Fund provided to Armenia. The outputs of the next environmental project have been summarized
The final workshop on “Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices for the elimination of unintentionally produced POPs releases” project took place. The household waste sorting infrastructures had been set up in the landfill of the city of Ararat under one of the project's components.
The preparatory works on Armenia’s 6th National Biodiversity Report are in the final phase
The Ministry of Nature Protection completes the preparatory works of the 6th National Biodiversity Report. Being among the world’s 25 countries having richest biodiversity and one of the 2 hotspots in Europe, Armenia implements a policy targeted at preserving it.
There took place a workshop dedicated to the ozone layer protection; US$ 154,000 thousand in grants was allocotated to Armenia
At the initiative of the Ministry of Nature Protection-implemented Ozone project, a workshop over recapping the results of the activities accomplished by Armenia in 2018 in the direction of protecting the ozone layer took place. The representatives of concerned state bodies, partner state and private organizations, sectorial scientists partook in the workshop.
